Merry Christmas

What you thought I would post this on Christmas? Silly Silly blog readers this is the Duchess we are talking about:-)

We had a lovely Christmas at Casa de German Last name! I got a lovely ring and earrings that match the lovely ring! Diamonds and gold make a Latina Princess very happy indeed:-) The Man got an Xbox 360, some games, socks, an IPod stereo thingee and various odds and ends.

I got a Coach bag from the Mommakins and a Vera Bradley bag from the Ohio Momma/Ohio family. I also got a pretty groovy Coach change purse from The Cousin. I got her a green Coach wallet that I think may match her purse however the buckle is yellow gold and The Cousin? Well she has some deeply held beliefs about gold. While she is indeed a good Mexican she is only Mexican on her dad's side so she likes her gold to be white. Me? I am Mexican on both sides so I like me some old school yellow gold.

The Cousin didn't come to Michigan for Christmas this year which is poopey as hell. I missed her horribly. So I am closing with a quote from a great philosopher, Winnie the Pooh:

“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh," he whispered.

"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I just wanted to be sure of you."”

Christmas Day

Alrighty then.
Christmas Day was good. The Man and I woke up late and we opened presents and yelled at the dog and just had a good morning. Then we went to Ohio and spent the day with his parents. I got a Vera Bradley purse that I had wanted for the longest time. She also got me the cell phone holder and did I mention that I love it? My cousin also got me a Vera Bradley purse in the Hope Toile pattern and a change purse/ID holder thingee which is going to be my Spring/Summer purse. I made The Man go to Plymouth with me on Saturday and we found a shop that carries Vera Bradley and I got another coin purse/id holder in another pattern which is also cute.

I may be dragging Scrapbook Girl and my MIL with me to Sommerset/Summerset/Oh my G-d will they realize we can't afford anything and kick us out mall since they have an entire Vera Bradley store and an AVEDA store and a bunch of other stores that I want to check out.

On Wednesday we spent the day taking my mom to various doctor appointments and today we have done nothing!!. YAY!!!!

I truly love Christmas. I can't wait until we have kids:)

It was a good holiday despite the fact that my big present was a freakin' alternator for my poopey car. Then The Man's car started acting funny so that was a big bummer however we got through the excitement and we made it to Ohio for Christmas.

Did I ever tell you that the Ohio Momma is a great cook? Well she is and she is a better baker. Dudes I seriously ate the majority of the cookies that she had on the table and did I mention the homemade gummy candy? Yeah ate the weight of my purse in gummy candy. OYE it was lovely.

Also?

I have a picture of the Smart Girl by The Man which was the Christmas miracle in my family. Oh this is funny. I walked into the TV room because I saw the Smart Girl standing in front of the TV making gestures of annoyance at the screen. I asked her what she was doing and she said "I'm waiting for the scores" in a total DUH tone of voice. Yep she is 4.
